The Standard Hotel Downtown and the "Restaurant 24/7" The Rooftop and the Biergarten is an open air bar and lounge area at the Standard Hotel in Downtown LA. The Biergarten is inspired from a traditional German heritage, where the fresh beer is poured in giant beer glasses all night long—amazing to watch. It's the perfect place for a younger, hip crowd and international travelers to mingle and have a cocktail with friends before a dinner at the Restaurant 24/7, a California-style brasserie.

I love the design of the dining room and the hotel in general. Book a room, get lazy at the pool deck, eat a bite at the Restaurant 24/7, and then party like a celebrity. On most weekends, live bands play or they have DJ's. You may also find that during the week sometimes. Best to call them and ask for their schedule.

They organize Pool Parties all summer long. Sip a cocktail or two or three... On the top of the world, listening to live music at sunset, you will be amazed by the atmosphere and feelings you will get from it.

The Standard is a cool place to be on Friday and Saturday and at Happy Hour time during the week. If you’re lucky enough, you may even catch a movie scene being filmed there, since that happens quite a bit. “Get Him to the Greek,” with Russell Brand, was a big comedy movie produced there, with the memorable scene when Russell fell into the pool and bleed…Fun to watch the filming when nobody gets hurt and has fun!
