This is a beautiful place up in the hills of Hollywood with a beautiful garden and an amazing, scenic view of the city, stunning views at night. You should come to this place for its old world atmosphere and unique architectural design inspired from a Royal House in Japan.

When you arrived at the door, you will be greeted by two hostesses dressed like Geishas.

I recommend first stopping to the bar for a Mai Tai experience because their recipe is a house specialty going back thirty years. In season, you can try the unique Pumpkin Pie cocktail. While at the bar, try an oyster shot.

This is a huge place, used for numerous movies, TV shows and commercials.

When you are ready for dinner, ask for a window table or a more intimate table in the indoor garden patio.

Chef Brock Kleweno has created an American inspired Japanese menu. The food is great and fresh. I recommend the Truffle Hamachi, Carnitas over Rice Cake, Kurobuta Pork, Darth Vader Roll and the Salt Encrusted Steak. This is also a great place for vegetarians.

The Strawberry Preserved filled Doughnut dessert is famous. I also like the special White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie with Amaretto Ice Cream.

The Japanese gardens are really nice to enjoy after dinner. The lights of the city bellow are magical. A romantic place to take your sweetheart.
